With Atlanta United’s season over, the reshaping of the roster will begin soon under Vice President Carlos Bocanegra.

It wasn’t the season many anticipated. The team missed the MLS playoffs for only the second time in six seasons, and injuries decimated the lineup.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is continuing to take a position-by-position look at the roster over the coming days.

Today are the centerbacks. The team, including the centerbacks, won 353 tackles, 10th most in MLS. It successfully tackled dribblers at 45.4%, second best in the league. It successfully pressured opponents at 30.4%, fourth best in the league. It won 52.7% of aerial duels, fifth best in the league.

Miles Robinson

Made nine appearances, including eight starts, before suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Clearances: 21

Aerial duels won: 71.4%

Errors that led to shots: 0

Alan Franco

After a rough start to the season in which he made a few impactful mistakes, he became the team’s most consistent centerback.

Vs. dribbles/won: 47/25

Successful pressures: 36.1%

Clearances: 113

Aerial duels won: 65.7%

Errors that led to shots: 1

JuanJo Purata

Acquired on loan from Tigres, he became an aerial threat, with six goals scored.

Tackles/won: 27/18

Vs. dribbles/won: 19/10

Successful pressures: 30.6%

Clearances: 85

Aerial duels won: 64.5%

Errors that led to shots: 0

George Campbell

The Homegrown signee made 16 starts as part of 20 appearances.

Tackles/won: 24/14

Vs. dribbles/won: 20/12

Successful pressures: 30.9%

Clearances: 63

Aerial duels won: 66.2%

Errors that led to shots: 2

Alex De John

Tackles/won: 9/4

Vs. dribbles/won: 9/5

Successful pressures: 32.6%

Clearances: 22

Aerial duels won: 80%
