Stockbridge City Manager Michael Harris recently announced that he is resigning after three years on the job to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector. According to a statement released by the city, he will be leaving at the end of April.
“I have been afforded an opportunity which will allow me to get back to my engineering roots, while also utilizing experience gained working in the public sector,” he said. “While I am especially grateful for the group of dedicated and committed professionals that I have had the opportunity to work with during the past three years, I am looking forward to the new challenges in my new career.”
City officials have already posted the job opening online and are recruiting candidates to succeed Harris.
