Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed joins university’s advisory board

Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has been appointed to the advisory board of the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics. 

Reed is one of "eight prominent Americans" appointed to the advisory board, according to a press release from the institute issued earlier this month.  

Other notable people named to the board include former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Michael Morell, former acting director and deputy director of the CIA.
