Cumming motorcyclist hit and killed by car
A Cumming man was killed Friday evening when his motorcycle was hit by a car on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett County. The car’s driver has been charged with vehicular homicide.
Joe Vaughn, 50, was traveling northbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at South Old Peachtree Road when he was struck by Soo Wan Kim, 26, of Norcross, who was traveling southbound, according to investigators. Kim began to turn left on to S. Old Peachtree Road and collided with the motorcycle driven by Vaughn.
Kim has been charged with 2nd degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield while turning left, according to police.
Alcohol was not thought to have been a factor, police said.
