“Envision Holly Springs,” a 10-year update of the city’s Livable Centers Initiative study, will hold its third and final workshop later this month with a presentation of a draft plan.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at the City of Holly Springs Community Center (the old train depot). With work tentatively set to begin this spring on Holly Springs' new town center, the plan seeks to create "a walkable, vibrant downtown with a variety of housing," according to a meeting flyer.

Envision Holly Springs previously had an Aug. 29 kick-off workshop, a booth at Autumn Fest Oct. 7, and a Nov. 7 visioning workshop. The Envision team is now tasked with creating recommendations and putting together a project list, according to a project timeline.

A final plan is to be presented to the City Council this spring to be adopted and forwarded to the Atlanta Regional Commission.
