Georgia-born Lil Nas X is coming to a comic book store near you.
On Tuesday, the “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” singer was announced as the latest face of the “Fame” comic book series which celebrates the life and career achievements of pop icons. The series has previously featured Beyonce, Madonna, David Bowie and Lady Gaga.
The comic book biography of Lil Nas X spans 22 pages and is written by TidalWave Comics’ chief Darren G. Davis and illustrated by artist Vitor Moura. It follows the star from his childhood in the Atlanta area to his current status as one of the most influential people in music.
“We’ve found a niche with our bio comics,” Davis said to New York Daily News. “Our success with this comic shows that there is a much wider audience for sequential storytelling than many thought.”
“Readers are simply looking for something other than superheroes or horror. With our bio comics, we strive to bring these new readers evenhanded, well-researched looks at some of their favorite celebrities,” he added.
“Fame: Lil Nas X” is available both digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms including Amazon, iTunes, Kindle and ComiXology.
