South City Kitchen Buckhead will open for its first dinner service at 5 p.m. on May 24 and will be open for lunch starting on May 25, Fifth Group Restaurants ( La Tavola Trattoria, Ecco, The Original El Taco, Alma Cocina, Lure, Ecco) announced today. Located at 3350 Peachtree Road in the heart of  Buckhead, it will be the third South City Kitchen location, including the original on Crescent Avenue in Midtown and a second location in Vinings.

The Buckhead location occupies 6,000 square feet on the first floor of the 3350 Peachtree building. The space accommodates 220 seats, with an open-air second story patio overlooking Peachtree Road. Other features include an all-season porch with a fireplace and an outdoor fire pit area.

Jason Starnes, previously of The Sun Dial, will helm the  kitchen as the executive chef,  blending  South City Kitchen specialties, such as  shrimp and red mule grits  with seasonal dishes created exclusively for the Buckhead location.

Look for the likes of pickled shrimp with shaved vegetables, pickled jalapenos and watercress; local strawberry and wood sorrel salad with pickled green strawberries, Bermuda Triangle goat cheese and strawberry gazpacho; and a smokey grilled pork chop with barbecued hazelnuts, cornbread puree, charred broccolini and sorghum vinaigrette.

Here's a sneak peek at the dinner menu.
