Mix southern-style, Texas-inspired barbecue with the cultural flair of a Mexican-driven menu and you'll have a mash up called the second annual Foxeria Del Sol. Two restaurants, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol , have partnered to turn up the heat with a sweet and savory menu featuring Hatch Chiles from New Mexico—all served at a philanthropic tented block party from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.
The party will be held at Taqueria del Sol’s Howell Mill location (1200 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta) and feature an array of flavorful food stations created by Chef Eddie Hernandez of Taqueria del Sol and Pitmasters Jonathan and Justin Fox of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. For drinks, guests can sip Green Chile Beer from Red Hare Brewery and a specialty cocktail from CATHEAD Vodka. The festivities will round out with music by the local group, Moontower.
Tickets are $25 per person and include festival entry and unlimited access to food stations. Beverages sold separately. To purchase, visit tds.xorbia.com/foxeriadelsol.
All proceeds from the Foxeria del Sol Hatch Chile Fest will benefit Hogs for the Cause, a nonprofit organization that funds pediatric brain cancer outreach services.
