On Monday, October 13, Chipotle introduced new vegan items to its menus for the South and Southeast, including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The vegan Sofritas® menu features organic shredded tofu braised with chipotle chiles, roasted poblano peppers and a blend of aromatic spices. The sofritas can be added to burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads.

The tofu comes from Hodo Soy, an organic, non-GMO tofu supplier touted as one of the industry leaders.
