If you have any unwanted or expired drugs, police in Milton will take them off your hands for free.

On May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Milton Police Department will participate in the countrywide effort by the DEA called “Drug Take Back Day.”

Officers will be set up outside Target at 13055 Highway 9, collecting several types of prescription drugs.

Police can accept all types of medicine and supplements except for syringes and liquids.

They will accept drugs in the form of tablets, capsules and other solid dosage forms. Police will also accept drugs for pets.

Police in Roswell and Johns Creek are also participating in the DEA's event, hosting their own take-back's on April 28.
