Roswell Police will accept any and all drugs and dispose of them for free on April 28, as part of the DEA's Drug Take Back Day.

If you have any old prescription drugs taking up space in your medicine cabinet, the Roswell Police Department will take them off your hands for free.

On April 28, the department will participate in the DEA’s National Drug Take Back Day.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Roswell Recycling Center at 11570 Maxwell Road, police will collect all types of unwanted drugs.

They are partnering with WellStar North Fulton Hospital to collect needles and other sharp objects used for drug use. Officials from WellStar will take those items offsite and dispose of them.

This includes pills, liquids and creams.

In a drug take back event in 2017, Roswell police claimed 241 pounds of unwanted drugs.

For more information, contact Lisa Holland at the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4422 or visit the DEA’s website at www.dea.gov.
