Nearly 7,000 DeKalb County voters had cast ballots before Friday, the last day of early voting until Tuesday’s runoff elections.

Turnout numbers show that more people have voted each day leading up to the election, with nearly 700 people making their choices for elected office on Thursday.

The election includes races for the state schools superintendent, DeKalb sheriff, DeKalb school board and the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

Early voting was made available through 5 p.m. on Friday at the Voter Registration and Elections Office at 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur.
