May 28, 2015A candlelight vigil to remember more than 8,600 people killed in a Nepal earthquake will be held in Clarkston on Saturday.
The memorial service is the final activity after the area’s Bhutanese community raised money over the last month to provide support to victims of the quake.
The Butanese Committee on Earthquake Relief Fund in Nepal is in the process of deciding how to distribute the funds.
The vigil will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot in front of Kathmandu Kitchen and Grill at 926 Montreal Road in Clarkston.
