7 p.m.: The number of coronavirus cases in Georgia has increased to 2,683 and 83 deaths since noon on Sunday. With 32 more new cases and 3 new deaths, 678 patients remain hospitalized, a rate of about 25.27 percent, according to the figures released at 7 p.m.

Noon: Since Sunday, coronavirus cases in Georgia continued to increase as state health officials confirmed 2,651 cases and 80 deaths. The number of cases are up by 200 with one new death reported.

Of Georgia's overall cases, 666 patients remain hospitalized, a rate of about 25.12 percent, according to the figures released at noon. In just seven hours on Saturday, state officials confirmed 10 additional deaths, bringing the total to 79. All have died in just slightly more than two weeks, according to previous reporting by the AJC.
