The National Weather Service has expanded a Level 3 severe storm threat to include all of North Georgia on Friday.
The threat is considered enhanced and includes all of metro Atlanta. According to Channel 2 Action News, strong to severe storms will arrive in northwest Georgia by 11 a.m. and make their way into metro Atlanta between noon and 2 p.m.
Heavy rain and damaging wind gusts are the primary threats, but large hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible, according to Channel 2.
