Tech’s Bolden relocating shooting stroke

Sept 30, 2014

Georgia Tech guard Chris Bolden has a new shooting stroke – his old stroke.

Last season, Bolden shot 30.5 percent on 105 attempts. Of the 31 players in the ACC who shot 105 3-pointers or more last season, only four had a lower rate than Bolden. He said as he struggled, he changed his shot three or four times, tweaking his elevation and his release.

“When you do stuff like that, you can’t really get in a rhythm,” he said.

After the season, Bolden said he went back to his old habits and returned to shooting the ball how he shot it before Tech. He said his goal is to shoot in the 40 percent range on 3-pointers.

“We’ll definitely be able to shoot the ball pretty well, a lot better than we have in the past,” he said.
