SEC Championship game ticket prices have fallen this week and they are cheaper than last year, according to the SeatGeek.com.
Here’s some notes from ticketing website:
- The "get-in" price for the SEC Championship game has dropped 15 percent from $225 at the start of the week to $190 Friday, and the average ticket price has fallen 33 percent from $410 to $276. In the same span for last year's game between Alabama and Georgia, the average ticket price for the game fell 20 percent from $467 to $370. It's not unusual for the price to drop over the course of the week.
- What is also interesting is the huge difference in price between tickets in the respective Auburn and Missouri seating areas. In the upper deck, Mizzou fans can find tickets under $200, but on the Auburn side, seats at the same level start at $234 and have sold for an average of $247 since Monday. The difference is even more noticeable in the lower bowl, where Mizzou tickets are available for as little as $255, but Auburn seats start at $366 apiece and have gone for an average of $473 since Monday.
- There are also far fewer tickets for sale in Auburn sections than in Missouri sections. That's noticeable in both the upper and lower levels — as well as behind each team's bench. While there are dozens of listings in Sections 114-117 behind the Mizzou sideline starting at $378 per ticket, only a handful of tickets are available in Sections 134-137 behind the Auburn sideline, and they start at $485 apiece.
