Mercedes-Benz Stadium is gorgeous, especially with its roof open.
Atlanta's new football palace will host the SEC Championship Game for the first time on Dec. 2. Until then, we can only begin to imagine how incredible this new chapter in the conference's history will be. We already received glimpses with Alabama's rout of Florida State and Tennessee's dramatic victory against Georgia Tech at the site.
But on Sunday night, we gained a peek at what the stadium looks like with its roof open. (The roof was closed during the Alabama-Florida State and Tennessee-Georgia Tech games.)
Just in time for the Atlanta Falcons’ home opener against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, we received the amazing glimpse below.
It remains to be seen if the roof will be open for the SEC title game. But you have to admit that it would be cool if the sky could be seen during the contest.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is bound to produce amazing memories in the years to come, with or without its roof open.
