Traffic flow on a portion of Ponce de Leon Avenue should be back to normal for drivers Wednesday.

Ponce de Leon Avenue was closed between Monroe Drive and Glen Iris Drive for a time Tuesday afternoon while crews worked to repair a damaged gas line. A few lanes were reopened later in the afternoon, but not before affecting rush-hour traffic.

Atlanta Gas Light spokeswoman Kristie Swink Benson said her company’s crews finished repairs just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The repairs were needed after a portion of the gas line was cut.
