Search for new Atlanta superintendent begins

The search committee for the next superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools plans to start deciding what kind of leader it wants at its kick-off meeting Tuesday.

PROACT Search, the company that will help find a successor to Superintendent Erroll Davis, will work with the search committee to set a timeline, recruit applicants, talk with community members and hear suggestions.

The meeting will be held at Atlanta school district’s headquarters at 6 p.m.
