The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its May 19 regular meeting to approve a rezoning request for a 41.2-acre site on the north side of Hampton-Locust Grove Road, just west of its intersection with Hwy. 155 and across from Brindley Way.

The change is from RA (residential-agricultural) to R-3 (single-family residential) to allow a new subdivision on the property, which is bordered on the north by a 24-hour warehouse distribution center and on the west by another subdivision. The county’s future land use map calls for commercial use at that site and the commissioners previously decline to change the map designation in support of this request.

The vote to approve the rezoning with conditions was unanimous.
