Lane Flynn dominated Tuesday's Republican primary runoff for Georgia House District 81, which represents parts of DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.

A small business owner and commercial pilot from the Henderson Mill area of DeKalb, Flynn took 71 percent of the votes to top opponent Jim Duffie. Just over 700 votes were cast, according to unofficial results.

Just 14 votes were cast in the one Gwinnett precinct included in the district.

Flynn and Duffie were the top two vote getters in May's three-candidate Republican primary for District 81, which represents parts of the Chamblee and Doraville areas in DeKalb County and the Pinckneyville area in Gwinnett. Flynn won the primary but failed to get the 50 percent of votes required to avoid a runoff.

Flynn will now face incumbent Democrat Scott Holcomb in November's election.
