Georgia DOT and Gwinnett County DOT crews will repair of a 500-foot-long section of Buford Highway in Suwanee this weekend beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday around the clock until 4 a.m. Monday, assuming the weather cooperates. Crews will close Buford Highway from just north of Sugarloaf Parkway to just south of Percival Drive in order to removed the asphalt and rebuild the road from the dirt to the driving surface.

Traffic will be detoured from Buford Highway to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to McGinnis Ferry Road and back to Buford Highway. By performing the work over the weekend, traffic officials hope to minimize any impact of the road closure and detour.
