The Peachtree Corners City Council voted Tuesday to approve a special use permit that will allow for an adult day care facility at 6991 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The center will operate in 7,282-square feet in one of the seven buildings located on a portion of the 7.4-acre property. The center will be open five hours a day during daytime hours only, and hopes to serve up to 60 guests.

Conditions of approval require the Kind David Adult Day Care to be limited to the existing Building 600 structure on the property. The day care center must not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed by state and local regulations, and no overnight accommodations are allowed.

King David Community Center of Atlanta Inc. has been in the senior care industry for 15 years, providing care for the elderly and/or disabled members of the community. The center will offer activities, nutritious meals, registered nursing services, and social time. The center will transport seniors to and from the center in a state approved and licensed multi-seat van.
