Two parcels totaling 13.8 acres have been rezoned in Peachtree City’s industrial area.

The City Council approved the change 5-0 at its Oct. 3 meeting, switching the property at 320 Dividend Drive from general industrial to limited use industrial at the request of John Barrow, owner of Steadfast of Peachtree City. Planning and Development Director Robin Bechtel Cailloux told the council that staff had determined that the rezoning request complied with terms of the city’s land use plan and zoning ordinance. An undeveloped portion of the property backs onto the Planterra Ridge residential area, which will require a 75-foot “no-disturb buffer” along the property line adjacent to the greenbelt to help minimize noise.

Development plans for the property were not disclosed, but Barrow said he has no plans for “anything heavy.”
