The Fayette County Public Art Committee is accepting nominations for its first Local Public Art Awards. The volunteer group seeks to recognize groups or individuals in the county who demonstrate "passion and leadership" through public displays of creativity. Nomination categories include educator, patron, civic and performing art. Forms are available at fayettecountyga.gov/public_arts_committee/ and are due by Sept. 11.
