A discrepancy in campaign disclosure filings for Cobb County Superior Court Judge Reuben Green was fixed on Wednesday, according to the state ethics commission.

Green filed paperwork with the county elections office to terminate his campaign for State Court judge in October, when he was appointed to the Superior Court bench. However, state records were still showing the campaign to be active Tuesday.

Stacey Kalberman, executive secretary for the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, said her office never received notice of the termination. After learning of the discrepancy, Kalberman said she corrected state records Wednesday.

Green's campaign records attracted scrutiny recently when five defense attorneys in two separate murder cases asked the judge to recuse himself because of his close ties to District Attorney Pat Head. Head was listed as campaign treasurer in Green's  State Court campaign filings.
