DOZO BISTRO AND SUSHI

1300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Suite 3101

Suwanee, GA 30024

Score: 46

The fish billed as "super white tuna" at a Gwinnett County sushi spot was not as advertised, according to a health inspection report.

Officials said the restaurant, Dozo Bistro and Sushi at 1300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Suwanee, was really serving escolar, a fish commonly mislabeled as tuna and known for causing intestinal issues in some diners. The restaurant scored a 46/U on its Thursday morning inspection.

"Menu has 'super white tuna' that is really escolar," the inspection report said. "All food must be honestly presented on the menu."

Several other violations were also reported, including raw eggs and shrimp stored above ready-to-eat food, fish thawing in a vegetable sink and lettuce being washed in a "sushi prep sink."

Attempts to reach restaurant management for comment were unsuccessful Friday morning.

A follow-up inspection will be completed on or before June 3.
