Starting this Saturday, DeKalb County residents will be able to give to children in need as the holiday season approaches.

The 21st annual “Tree of Love” celebration aims to support disadvantaged children who are in foster care, low-income households or other less fortunate circumstances, DeKalb Commissioner Larry Johnson’s office said.

The event kicks off this Saturday, Nov. 23 from 1-3 p.m. at The Gallery at South DeKalb. Residents can choose a child’s name from the tree and provide them with gifts and toys ahead of the closing ceremony on Dec. 21.

The presents can be dropped off at the Maloof Administrative Building on Dec. 13 from noon to 3 p.m., and on Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
