DeKalb County elections officials are giving Dunwoody voters the chance to try out the state’s new voting machines ahead of the official rollout in March.

The equipment will be on display for demonstrations at the Dunwoody Library on Thursday, February 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the city said.

Officials later added a second demonstration event on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunwoody City Hall.

DeKalb elections leaders have hosted several events around the county to let the public try out the machines, which state officials are hoping to have in place for the March 24 presidential preference primary. In DeKalb, the ballot that day will also feature a special election for sheriff.

The new voting equipment prints out paper ballots, providing a way to check electronic results after years of complaints of alleged voting irregularities and security issues.

The Dunwoody Library is located at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
