If you’ve missed shopping at the Aldi near Decatur, you’re in luck: The store is reopening this week after a major remodel.

The German-based grocery chain announced the store will feature a new store layout that has more refrigeration space and makes shopping more efficient.

The store is located at 3480 Memorial Drive, near Decatur at the intersection with Columbia Drive.

Aldi will host a ribbon-cutting for the store on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 8:45 a.m. The first 100 customers will receive free gift cards of varying amounts. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of Aldi produce.

Known for providing affordable produce options, Aldi said the Decatur remodeling is part of an effort to spend $49.5 million to update 42 stores in metro Atlanta by the end of 2020.

The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
