City officials in Hampton have notified the Henry County Board of Commissioners of the city’s intent to annex 17.64 acres of property.
According to a statement by the county attorney at the April 5 Board of Commissioners meeting, the land is owned by Southern States LLC and consists of two parcels, one of which contains a warehouse and the other of which is vacant land. The city is required by law to give the county notice of any planned rezoning, but there has been no announcement of any such plans for the property.
