The Gwinnett County Public Library is offering a new way for adults to earn their high school diplomas.
And scholarship money, too.
GCPL announced Wednesday its partnership with Career Online High School, a program officials said is "specifically designed to re-engage adults into the education system and prepare them for entry into post-secondary career education or the workforce." The library is Georgia's first to offer the program, which pairs students with academic coaches who help develop career plans and offer constant guidance.
Courses cover "eight high-growth, high-demand career fields" and students can graduate in as little as six months.
As part of the program's launch, the Gwinnett County Public Library will be awarding 25 scholarships valued at $2,500 each. Those interested can learn more about Career Online High School and take an online self-assessment by clicking here.
