Authorities have identified the victims of a deadly plane crash on Saturday in northwest Georgia.
The Murray County coroner identified the victims as Dexter Lee Gresham, 55, of Etowah, Tenn., Mary Jo Yarbrough, 61, of Etowah, Tenn., Austin Day, 10, of Corinth, MS, and Kinsley Wilson, 10, of Corinth, MS.
Gresham and Yarbrough were married, and he was piloting the plane, according to the coroner.
The children were Yarbrough's grandchildren.
Deputies arrived at the scene of the crash Saturday around 5:30 p.m.
The small, twin-engine plane out of Tennessee crashed in Chatsworth, according to the Murray County sheriff.
Authorities confirmed there were four people on the plane and none of them survived the crash, WTVC in Chattanooga reported.
Witnesses described the scary moment they saw the plane go down.
"I just looked up in the sky and saw a plane, it didn't look like a plane at the time, but it just caught on fire and there was smoke everywhere and debris started flying and it hit the ground," witness April Edwards told WTVC. "It was bad."'
The sheriff and witnesses said there was heavy rain before the crash.
Federal officials are investigating the crash.
