Fulton County’s Citizens’ University begins April 2 for the 11th consecutive year. The twelve-week intensive training program provides citizens with a close-up view of how their local government works. Participants can gain a better understanding of county government, the available services and the role of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. The class schedule includes reviews of Departments such as Finance/Tax Assessor, Fire, Police/Code Enforcement, Registration and Elections, the Justice System, Tax Commissioner, Health Services, Aging and Youth, Housing and Community Development and other County operations.
The registration fee is $40, which helps to defray the cost of course materials, a graduation ceremony, a diploma and a class shirt. Class size is limited to 30 citizens. Registration deadline: March 18.
