At-risk Cobb senior citizens need help with securing groceries and toiletries, according to a Cobb County news release.

Also, donations of nonperishable food and toiletries are needed by Cobb Senior Services for the Meals on Wheels program for home deliveries.

Donations can be arranged from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays by calling Merline Tippens at 770-528-2009 to set up a time to deliver your donations.

She also can come to your car to get items.

However, do not leave items outside the building.

Monetary donations also are being accepted at CobbCounty.org/seniors.

Cobb County residents, who are age 60 or older, are asked to call 770-528-5364 or 770-528-5368 to make an appointment to pick up these items.

Note there are eligibility requirements to receive assistance.
