The Georgia Supreme Court on Monday slapped Cumming lawyer Warner Russell Hodges with a 60-day suspension from practicing law.

Hodges was punished for undertaking to represent a client in Tennessee in a divorce case while his Tennessee law license was inactive, the court’s unanimous ruling said. The ruling noted that the Tennessee Supreme Court had also imposed a 60-day suspension on Hodges for holding himself out to be authorized to practice law in that state when, in fact, he was not authorized to do so.
