Cobb animal adoption set for Saturday

Aug 2, 2011Cobb Animal Control will hold an animal adopt-a-thon Saturday at the Cobb animal shelter in Marietta.
The adopt-a-thon is part of efforts to compete in the ASPCE Save More Lives Challenge to save more animals in the short term and increase the potential to save more in the future.
The adopt-a-thon runs will feature police K-9 demonstrations, special adoption rates and introduction of the new on-staff veterinarian. Festivities run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the animal shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. in Marietta.
