Unneeded and obsolete property of Cherokee County, from sheriff’s department police cars to fire department air bags and dot matrix printers of the elections office, have been declared surplus by the Board of the Commissioners so they can be disposed of.

An auction will be conducted by Jeff Dobson & Associates at 9 a.m. Saturday at 160 McClure St., Canton, to seek buyers for the sheriff’s items: three Ford Crown Victorias, two Ford Tauruses, a Ford F450 truck and a Chevrolet 1500 truck – along with an air compressor and 34 seventeen-inch steel wheels. Surplus items from Canton and Holly Springs also will be auctioned.
