Brookhaven names interim attorney

Brookhaven City Council recently appointed Thompson Kurrie Jr. as its interim city attorney, to replace Bill Riley after his sudden department.

Riley had helped Brookhaven with its creation and launch last December and will remain as the city’s solicitor. Kurrie is the former chairman of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. He and the city are still negotiating what he will earn in the role.
