Fayette County is helping students get a head start on the upcoming school year by hosting a Back to School Expo 9 a.m.-1 p.m. July 18 at the Administrative Complex in downtown Fayetteville. The program will offer on-site immunizations and health screenings, sign-ups for lunch and after-school programs, tutoring and enrichment information, and safety fingerprinting by law enforcement. Parents can get information about PTO and other volunteer opportunities. Classes begin in Fayette Aug. 6; more information is at www.fcboe.org.
