An autopsy was planned Monday for a body found Saturday outside a Wal-Mart in Stockbridge, police said.
Authorities are trying to determine whether the victim was killed or had committed suicide.
The body was found in a van outside the store on Hudson Bridge Road. It had a gunshot wound to the head and may have been there for as many as five days.
Authorities have not said whether the victim was a man or a woman.
