The Atlanta Streetcar is down through the weekend for electrical repairs, officials said.

City officials announced late Friday night that crews were repairing the streetcar’s power delivery system. The repairs — which involve work on overhead powerlines on Edgewood Avenue, Jackson Street, Auburn Avenue and Peachtree Street — were expected to be completed by Monday.

“Repairs may cause temporary road closures along the Streetcar route,” officials said in a news release. “Traffic control measures will be in place; however, motorists are urged to avoid the impacted area if possible.”

The streetcar was also down due to similar issues for about two hours Thursday evening.
