The city of Alpharetta’s annual financial reports for FY 2015 ending June 30 shows a sharp uptick in several measures of economic activity.
The report details that 5,018 development permits were issued in FY 2015, a sharp increase from the 3,894 recorded the year before. Of that, residential permits rose from 430 to 541.
The report also details that business licenses jumped. from 4,131 to 4,667.
City inspections mushroomed as well, from 14,362 to 38,323.
The report also covers a grab bag of other topics; from the local business climate and quality of life to the city’s financial position and downtown improvement plans for 2016.
