Ralston named leader to watch by national publication

May 24, 2011Governing magazine has named Georgia Speaker David Ralston, R-Blue Ridge, one of its top GOP lawmakers to watch.
The article, by veteran political reporter Louis Jacobson, says Ralston "has earned favorable reviews for his effectiveness with fellow lawmakers."
Jacobson said the publication sought politicians with ambition and "a long future, particularly with the possibility of winning higher office at the state or federal level."
Ralston was elected speaker in 2010.
