The city of Morrow has a new police chief. Melvin Douglas Jr., a 30-year law enforcement veteran, was slated to be sworn in as police chief at Tuesday’s council meeting. Douglas comes to Morrow from the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. and has served in law enforcement for over 30 year years. Douglas has a Bachelors’ in Criminal Justice, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Douglas succeeds Jimmy Callaway who served as interim police chief.
