Gwinnett County Public Schools will begin distributing meals again Wednesday, the day before classes resume to begin the second semester.

The school district has not been offering meals during winter break, but they will be available for curbside pick-up Wednesday at schools. For one day only Wednesday, the district will also deliver meals along school bus routes. Curbside pick-up will continue starting Thursday.

The school district revised the calendar in November to resume classes Thursday, delaying the second semester by one day to allow more teacher planning time.

Families facing food insecurity during the holiday break can use FoodFinder, an app created by a Gwinnett graduate that lists food distribution sites based on the user’s location. The United Way of Greater Atlanta and Gwinnett Cares also provide food resources.
