A Georgia Tech employee was arrested on sex charges involving another employee, according to the university's website Monday.

Ernest Olivares was arrested last week on sexual battery and aggravated sexual battery charges, Georgia Tech spokesman Lance Wallace said. Olivares was the senior director of housing and facilities management.

According to the incident report, the Georgia Tech Police Department was told June 20 about sexual harassment between a male supervisor and a female employee. No students were involved, Wallace said in the release.

“The Georgia Institute of Technology is unable to offer further details because the Institute does not discuss personnel matters or ongoing investigations,” Wallace said.

Olivares was placed on administrative leave. He was in the Fulton County Jail.
