Two Walton County men have been jailed on charges of sexual exploitation of children after a recent federal operation, authorities said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are involved.

Gary Walker, 35, of a Brookview Drive address in Loganville, was arrested March 30, the GBI said Wednesday. A search warrant was served at his residence.

Also, Brandon Overturf, of a Bypass Road address, was arrested March 30 on a sexual exploitation of children charge, the Loganville Local News reported.

The men were downloading child porn that involved minors, Capt. Scott Pecore of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office said.

“(The operation) had been ongoing for some time,” Pecore said.

Both men were in the Walton County Jail Wednesday. Overturf has no bond. Walker has a $15,000 bond on each of five charges.

The investigation is active and ongoing, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said. A lead from the FBI prompted the case, Miles said.
