A vehicle of interest has been identified in connection with an attempted kidnapping of a young girl in Troup County on Sunday, authorities said.

It's a small four-door white car, possibly a Toyota Camry, the Troup County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

The photo comes from a camera in the area of Reed Road, which is where a man allegedly tried to grab an 8-year-old by the lower portion of her leg and pull her into his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said in an earlier post.

She described the man as someone with “older looking skin,” and he had no facial hair and long brown hair down to his ears, which is possibly a wig, the post said. The sheriff’s office believes he might have been attempting to portray himself as a woman to the child.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 706-883-1616.
